STOP AND COUNT
1. the # of homes you have lived in the: Longest? Best? Worst?
I've lived in about 15 places, moving 12 times in 16 years in DC. The longest was with my family, the happiest was with my first love (one apt building away from the DC church of scientology or freak house as we called it) and the worst was the place so infested with roaches that I moved out after 3 days.
2. the # of cars you had: the best?
After the usual first few used cars, my first new car was a 1986 Ford Escort - it was a great car that was still going after 123,000 miles. I then had a 92 Pontiac Grand AM which was very hard to keep at the speed limit - that car loved to go fast. My 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee holds my favorite memories as I met my first love the night I got it and we made out in it for 5 hours! Sunrise from the folded down back seat.
It should be no surprise that my favorite car has been and always will be my 2002 Jeep Wrangler! I always wanted one, although I'm not really sure why, and it has been everything I hoped for and more than I ever imagined. It is fun and with the top down it just relaxes me and rejuvenates my spirit. Plus it's sexy and perfectly answers the question, "If you were a car, what kind would you be?"3. the approximate # of sexual encounters you have had.
I was a late bloomer and have had a bit of a dry spell the past 5 or so years, but in-between, and in-between lovers, if we do the math - 1.5 per month for 25 years, that's a lot of encounters but I have lots of friends who have done that in a year, while others have done less then 10% of that.
4. the # of siblings you have. Your #?
I have a younger sister. I'm the first grandchild/nephew and the oldest of over 40 grandkids in total.
5. the # of careers you have had: Best? Worst?
I've had many jobs including baby-sitter, paperboy, McDonald's, guy friday, desk clerk, truck driver, tennis pro, bank teller, cashier at Whole Foods but only one career - retail management.
6. the # of music albums you have. (all formats combined)
My first music was a cassette by Face To Face - Face To Face, and it is still one of my favorites. In total I have over 700 albums (I never buy singles). I converted my cassettes to CD's and then when I converted my CD's to digital, I threw out all the jewel cases and put the CD's and booklets into space-saving albums that I can't bring myself to throw out.
7. the # of operations you have had.
I've had a few procedures but only two actual operations. The first was when I was 12 and had to have my big toe nail removed because it was infected. The second was when I was 16 and had a tumor that wrapped around the main nerve of my right arm removed. The doctors were shocked it wasn't terminal cancer and that I suffered no nerve damage. My parents didn't tell me about the original diagnosis until almost 15 years later. In 2006, I had the muscles in my eyes strengthened and that enabled me to then get Lasik eye surgery and for the first time in 40 years (since I was two) I didn't need glasses!Bonus
the # of significant others you have been in love with.
Ross was my first love and really the love of my life. Then there were Patrick, Cor and Troy who were but never could be. My last love was Peter to whom I proposed to on one knee. He said yes but two years later, I had to end it. We were never married or committed and I'm not sure I've ever recovered.
