Partners is a new CBS comedy from the makers of Will & Grace and stars Superman, Brandon Routh, Ugly Betty star and openly gay actor Michael Urie, Sophia Bush and some other guy.
Partners is the story of two lifelong friends who are both architects and form a business partnership. One is gay and one is gay! they both have significant others and although there are only four people, there are three couples - Louis and Joe, Louis and Wyatt and Joe and Ali.
If you can believe it, Michael Urie is more gay in this show then he ever was on Ugly Betty. He almost out gays Jack! Brandon Routh is his loving boyfriend (who is NOT a Jewish Doctor but a Mennonite nurse) and plays the hunky-smart-enough-to-be-a-nurse-but-still-kinda-dim guy.
The heart of the story is Louis's and Joe's life long friendship (kinda like Will & Grace) while the relationships with their significant others is secondary. The show was okay, not bad enough to turnoff, everyone is likable enough but there few cringe worthy moments with Michael Urie. I'll give it a few more tries and see if it improves. Meanwhile, enjoy Brandon.
